For the second straight year, Ohio State's Joey Bosa is Houston, TX bound to be up for a major college football piece of hardware.
Awarded annually to the nation's top college lineman, Bosa joins Texas A&M's Myles Garrett, Clemson's Shaq Lawson, and Penn State's Carl Nassib as the 2015 Lombardi Award finalists. The winner will be announced Wednesday, Dec. 9, 2015.
A year ago, Bosa was arguably the bettor's favorite before a mildly surprising snub in favor of Arizona's Scooby Wright III.
Though not quite the stat stuffer as Nassib (in part because of OSU's opponents' desperate tactics), Bosa's had a strong junior campaign in his presumptive final year in Columbus. Bosa has 40 tackles to his name including 15 for a loss and four sacks; he's even broken up four passes.
Buckeye linebacker (now Cincinnati Bengal) A.J. Hawk was the last Ohio State representative to win the Lombardi, back in 2005. Former stud tackle Orlando Pace is the only OSU player to take the trophy home twice.
