Coming off a tough loss at Michigan State, Ohio State went into Ann Arbor Saturday and beat the brakes off of Michigan with a 42-13 win. As a result, the Buckeyes were ranked No. 6 in the latest AP and Amway Coaches Polls.

In the AP Poll, Clemson, Alabama, Oklahoma, Iowa, and Michigan State remained at the top. Notre Dame fell in the poll to No. 9after losing a heartbreaker to Stanford. Baylor also dropped in the poll, down to No. 12 after their overtime loss to TCU Friday night in Fort Worth. North Carolina moved up to No. 8 in the poll after knocking off NC State.

UCLA, Mississippi State, and Toledo all dropped out of this week's AP Poll. LSU, USC, and Wisconsin are new additions to the poll for this week.

The expected suspects were in the top five of the Coaches Poll, which included Clemson, Alabama, Iowa, Oklahoma, and Michigan State. Notre Dame fell to No. 10, Baylor to No. 12, and Oklahoma State to No. 14 after all lost their respective games this weekend.

Navy took a dive after their loss to Tom Herman's Houston Cougars on the road. Washington State dropped out of the poll after taking a 45-10 whooping in the Apple Cup at the hands of Washington. Mississippi State also dropped out after losing to Ole Miss in the Egg Bowl at home. UCLA fell out of the poll as well.

Newcomers to the poll include LSU, USC, and Wisconsin at No. 23, No. 24, and No. 25 respectively.
