Though some had pegged Penn State's Carl Nassib as the front runner for the Big Ten's defensive lineman of the year, the powers that be evidently knew better.
For the second straight year, Ohio State's Joey Bosa was named the Smith-Brown Big Ten Defensive Lineman of the Year.
Bosa has 47 tackles on the season, 33 of them solo. Bosa also had 16 of his tackles coming for a loss, and five sacks. While his numbers aren't quite as emphatic as some of his competition, being double and triple teamed this year has a lot to do with that.
Congrats to Joey on an outstanding likely final season in scarlet and gray.
