Already without the suspended Adolphus Washington, Ohio State's interior defensive line depth is getting mighty thin.
After landing in the Phoenix area, the Buckeyes' head coach Urban Meyer told the gathered media that senior defensive tackle Tommy Schutt has suffered a broken foot and will not be available against Notre Dame.
Schutt, who'd already missed two games this season with a wrist issue, has 25 tackles on the season (seven solo). He recorded five tackles for a loss to go along with two-and-a-half sacks.
Meyer spoke to the possibility of Buckeye star defensive lineman Joey Bosa moving inside with Washington's career done following an arrest for solicitation. Sunday afternoon in Phoenix, Meyer echoed the same sentiments. Redshirt sophomores Donovan Munger and Tracy Sprinkle may also be called on to fill the void provided by Schutt's injury.
