Ohio State sent out an offer to 2017 running back Devan Barrett late on Tuesday. Barrett, from Florida, holds 16 offers as it stands right now, but the Buckeyes and Crimson Tide came knocking yesterday. Yes, he picked a total of two offers up including one from Alabama as well.

At 6'1, Barrett has a big frame to add more weight than his listed 190 pounds. He runs hard, inside and outside of tackles and is always a threat to break the long one. At the moment, Florida is thought to be the favorite and they will definitely be a tough one to beat out. However, as he continues to blow up on the recruiting trail things will start to change. Ohio State is in early on this one and will make him a priority for the months going forward.

OSU in Solomon's Top 10

2017 defensive tackle Aubrey Solomon released his top 10 list on Tuesday and it was a list that included Ohio State at the top, though he did not specify if it was in any specific order. Solomon is a true defensive tackle from Georgia who has always spoken highly of the Buckeyes throughout his process. It's safe to say that Ohio State is definitely at, or near, the top of his list. A four-star prospect, Solomon is the number eight rated defensive tackle in his class. At the end of the day, it'll be tough to fight off the southern schools, but Ohio State has positioned themselves well enough to be a legitimate threat in this one.

Bucks make moves in Rivals250

A new version of the Rivals250 came out on Tuesday and there were a couple of Ohio State commits on the move. First, four-star wide receiver Austin Mack moved up 36 spots to being rated the number 113 overall prospect in the country. Mack is really the only true wide receiver Ohio State has committed for this year's class. While he is no doubt a good one, wide receiver recruiting over the next couple of months should heat up as the Buckeyes would like to take one more, if it's the right one. Binjimen Victor is a name that Ohio State fans have heard over the last year and while things were trending upwards with him most of the fall, the hiring of Mark Richt at Miami could have serious implications on Victor's recruitment. Miami has always been held in high regard according to Victor, but most didn't seem to think he wanted to play for Al Golden. Bringing in a veteran coach like Richt can only hurt Ohio State's chances in this one. We are still in "wait and see" mode when it comes to Victor and Ohio State will chase him to the end.

Another kid making a move up in the rankings is running back commit Antonio Williams. Williams jumped all the way up from being unranked to number 122 overall. Ohio State is probably set at the running back position for this year's cycle and it will help Williams and the team out that he will be enrolling early in Columbus. Williams is definitely a hot name on the recruiting trail after his huge senior season and is poised to make a run at playing time for the Buckeyes next fall.
