The Ohio State coaching staff are always keeping their eyes open for talented offensive linemen to bring into the fold. On Saturday, Urban Meyer, Ed Warinner, and crew offered class of 2016 lineman Parker Braun of Osceola High School in Kissimmee, Florida a chance to suit up for the Buckeyes.

Braun, a 6'4, 275-pound tackle who will most likely make the switch to guard on the college level, has watched his recruitment blow up recently. OSU joins Auburn, Ole Miss, South Carolina, West Virginia, Missouri, Florida, and Georgia as just a few of the schools to offer the four-star prospect over the last month or so.

One member of the Ohio State coaching staff is already more than familiar with the Braun family. Buckeye offensive coordinator Ed Warinner coached Parker's father Mike during his time with Army in the late 1980's.

Last season Braun helped block the Osceloa offense to over 5,300 yards of offense. Parker and the 12-2 Kowboys came up just short of a state title, falling to Damon Arnette, Nick Bosa, and Trevon Grimes of St Thomas Aquinas.

Lyke sets up visit

Class of 2016 defensive back Kenney Lyke was supposed to make the trip down from Palatine, Illinois last Tuesday to meet with the OSU coaching staff and tour the facilities, but the trip didn't end up happening.

"My little sister got sick so my mother didn't want to take her down sick. I'll be visiting on the fourth," the three-star recruit told Land-Grant Holy Land.

The 6'2, 185-pound safety is looking forward to seeing a few things during his time in Columbus next month.

"I want to get to know the coaches, get on campus, and see how their practice is run," said Lyke.

After recently picking up an offer from Michigan State, Lyke is starting to hear from quite a few top notch programs. Still yet to receive an offer from OSU, if the Buckeyes were to put one of the table, it would certainly be tough for Kenney to turn down.

"It would mean a lot to me. They would be in my top three. I just would have to evaluate a little bit more of the defense, and what not, and it could easily be my home for the next couple of years," he said.

According to the 247Sports Composite Rankings, Lyke, who is also high on MSU (offer), Notre Dame (no offer), and Penn State (no offer), is currently the 39th safety and 569th-overall prospect in the 2016 class.
