Four-star LB snags OSU offer
After losing out on '16 LB Carter Coughlin, who committed to Minnesota last week, Ohio State is still on the search to add a few linebackers to the class. '16 LB Dontavious Jackson, from Alief Elsik (TX) was able to get his hands on an offer from the Buckeyes on Wednesday. Now the hope is to get the talented LB on campus.

Jackson is one of the best inside linebackers in the country -- the fourth-best, according to the 247Sports Composite rankings. He is also the 17th-overall player in the state of Texas and the 123rd player in the class. Those numbers are good enough to land Jackson a four-star ranking.
Ohio State joins pretty much every top program in the country on Jackson's offer sheet. It's probably not worth mentioning the schools that Jackson holds an offer from because quite frankly, anyone you name should have offered already. We'll see if the Bucks can get him on campus so they can try and separate themselves from the nation's best.
Latest on Buckeyes' top QB target
'16 QB Jarrett Guarantano, who very likely is Ohio State's top target at the position, had some news that he posted to Twitter last night.
Working on a decision date . Everything will be finalized with where and when it will take place by tomorrow .
— Jarrett Guarantano (@Guarantano18) March 25, 2015
This news is definitely interesting. It was just Tuesday that Guarantano tweeted that he would take another visit to Ohio State before making his final decision. However, if he is already planning a date to announce, that may not bode well for the Scarlet and Gray. Right now, this is an Ohio State, Rutgers, and Tennessee battle.
Whoever gets the commitment for Guarantano will be adding a four-star QB to their class. The 6'4, 200-pounder from Bergen Catholic (NJ) is also the 6th-best pro-style QB in the country and the 107th-overall player in his class.
Ohio State hosts local punter
Ohio State will host many, many top prospects this weekend for unofficial visits. However, one visit took place yesterday and it came from one of the best punters in the 2016 class. '16 P Drue Chrisman from La Salle (OH) made a stop to Columbus to check out what the Buckeyes had to offer.
According to this bolt from 247Sports' Alex Gleitman, the Buckeyes have been showing serious interest in the local punter. So we'll see how things further develop. Chrisman had a few words with Gleitman about the Buckeyes visit and the situation at punter.
"It was awesome, but I still would like to see more. They told me that they are very interested, but since they have a guy right now [Johnston], that they have to work out the details" - Chrisman to Alex Gleitman
