The Buckeye freshman star averaged 19.3 points per game, 5.7 rebounds per contest, and 5.0 assists per. He beat out Wichita State's Ron Baker, Notre Dame's Jerian Grant, BYU's Tyler Haws, and Oklahoma's Buddy Hield for an honor given to the nation's best shooting guard.
