It hasn't been the busiest week for the Buckeyes on the recruiting trail, but Tuesday still left us with a few interesting bits of information regarding Ohio State targets at cornerback and linebacker.
Buckeyes offer Jones
2017 cornerback Deon Jones picked up an offer from Ohio State on Tuesday morning. Jones attends Archbishop Carroll High School in Washington, D.C. and is rated the number six overall cornerback in his class. Though Jones is young, he's compiled a nice offer list up to this point with his early favorites being Maryland and Clemson. Jones fits the bill of how the Buckeyes are looking to transform their secondary: long, lengthy players that can run and play man-to-man coverage. At 6'1, 180 pounds, Deon Jones is just that and even more. Coach Larry Johnson knows the East Coast well from his days at Penn State and his took the lead on Jones' recruitment thus far. Johnson paid a visit to him last January, but that's the last face-to-face contact Jones has had with the Buckeyes. With camp season approaching expect him to be on or around campus this summer if there's any interest on his part. This is definitely a player Ohio State would take at any moment and would be a huge pull as the Buckeyes try to extend their footprint in the East. Here's some film on Jones.

Buckeyes interested in Hansford
Another player from Washington D.C. in talks with Ohio State is 2016 outside linebacker Aaron Hansford. Hansford checks in at 6'2, 210 pounds, and holds a slew of Big Ten offers including one from the Buckeyes. He also plays wide receiver at his high school. Coach Larry Johnson continues to work his magic as he's taken the lead on Hansford as well. Hansford wants to make his way back to Columbus sometime this summer and currently he's a 100% Crystal Ball lock to Ohio State. Hansford is teammates with current 2016 commit Terrell Hall. If Ohio state wants him, the odds look good with the mutual interest and everyday recruiting in Hall continuously working Hansford.

Felder to announce Sunday
You may have heard that 2016 defensive back target Kareem Felder is planning to announce his college choice this Sunday. Felder was at one time a Virginia Tech pledge, but decided to open his recruitment back up. Felder was in Columbus just a few weeks ago and most signs are pointing towards his becoming a Buckeye. Felder, from Maryland, is currently a 3-star prospect who holds 16 offers from various programs across the country.
