2018 isn't as far away as it seems, and the Buckeyes are looking to load up on talent from that class.

Ohio State sent out one new offer on Wednesday and it was '18 LB Teradja Mitchell who was on the receiving end. From the looks of it, Mitchell is well on his way to becoming one of the top prospects in the 2018 recruiting cycle. The 6'2, 205-pounder has already built up an impressive list of offers. Ohio State joined Clemson, Florida State, NC State, North Carolina, South Carolina, Virginia, and Virginia Tech as the programs to already give Mitchell a scholarship opportunity.

Mitchell hails from the state of Virginia, an area that the Buckeyes have had some success in since the hiring of Urban Meyer. The train got rolling back in 2014 when Ohio State reeled in Jalyn Holmes, one of the state's best defensive linemen. The momentum would carry over to the next class when Matthew Burrell and AJ Alexander committed and eventually signed with the Scarlet and Gray.

Imatorbhebhe trims list, decision coming

Another state that the Buckeyes have had great recruiting success in during the last few seasons is Georgia. After adding guys like Raekwon McMillan and Vonn Bell, two who will play a vital role in Ohio State's defense this upcoming season, the Bucks will have a chance to reel in yet another big time Georgia talent.

On Wednesday, four-star '16 WR Josh Imatorbhebhe from North Gwinnett (GA) trimmed his list of offers down to seven. Fortunately for the Buckeyes, they made the list along with Alabama, Auburn, Florida, Georgia, Stanford, and USC.

It is worth noting that Josh has a big brother who is also a really talented football player. Daniel Imatorbhebhe, a member of the 2015 cycle, signed on to play at the University of Florida this past February. We will see if that has any impact on where Josh ultimately commits to. Speaking of, as you can see above, the Suwannee (GA) native is planning to announce his decision sometime next week.

Watts trending to OSU

As things stand at this very moment, Ohio State holds commitments from two Floridians in the 2016 class. Those two are '16 OG Tyler Gerald and '16 DT Malik Barrow from IMG Academy. However, that may be changing sooner rather than later. In just about two months, '16 S Craig Watts from Saint Petersburg (FL) will be making his collegiate decision.

On Wednesday, the 6'0, 180-pound defensive back was pegged by a handful of recruiting analysts to choose the Buckeyes. It was Tom Loy of Notre Dame's 247Sports website to initially predict Watts to Ohio State and shortly after, Steve Wiltfong followed. After those two predictions came in, two more quickly followed. It may mean that some positive Watts/Ohio State information was scooped up but we will have to stay tuned to see if anything develops.
