When it comes to recruiting, it's no surprise that the Ohio State staff loves the talent hailing from the state of Georgia. With five current Buckeye players from the state of Georgia, such as Raekwon McMillan and Vonn Bell, as well as current NFL players like Bradley Roby, the Peach State has been more than good to Ohio State.

Thursday was once again a chance for the Ohio State staff to keep the Georgia pipeline coming as an offer was handed out to 2017 4-star prospect MJ Webb. Webb is a product of Morgan County High School in Madison, Georgia and is considered to be the third ranked strong-side defensive end in his class. He is also a top 150 player in 2017 according to 247sports.com and checks in at 6'3 and 260 pounds.

Webb currently holds offers from Auburn, Alabama, Florida State, Georgia, Kentucky, Miami, Penn State, and Tennessee among others. While the crystal ball predictions are all pointing toward the home state Georgia Bulldogs, never count out Ohio State and Urban Meyer when it comes to recruiting. We will see how the Ohio State offer shakes up the recruiting process for Webb.

Five-star DE picks up offer

In sticking with the trend, Ohio State offered another talented strong-side defensive end in the 2017 class Thursday. This time, AJ Epenesa, hailing from Illinois, was on the receiving end of an offer from the reigning national champions.

A.J. is from Edwardsville High School and is currently ranked as the number one strong-side defensive end in the 2017 class as well as the top prospect in the state of Illinois. As 247sports.com gives him a 5-star ranking, it's no surprise that the Buckeyes wanted to offer him.

Epenesa stands at 6'5 and weighs in at 230 pounds, so it's easy to see how he can create havoc for the opposing offensive line. A.J. currently holds offers from Florida State, Iowa, Michigan State, Ole Miss, Oklahoma, USC, Tennessee, UCLA, Wisconsin and many more. Ohio State may not be early to the party, but look for this extended offer to definitely spark an interest in A.J.'s recruiting process.
