Ohio State recruiting: State Secrets - Joshua Lugg to visit, summer camp circuit update

4-star 2017 OL Joshua Lugg to visit. Will the Buckeyes extend an offer?

Whether Urban Meyer is attending Cleveland Cavalier basketball games or out on the recruiting front, there is no down time for the Buckeyes' head coach. No new offers went out yesterday, but that doesn't mean the Ohio State staff wasn't out working for the future of Ohio State football.

Joshua Lugg to visit

Per his twitter account, 2017 4-star OL Joshua Lugg is set to visit Ohio State this weekend. Lugg hails from Wexford, PA and attends North Allegheny High School. Ranked as a composite 4-star with a .9177 rating by 247sports.com, Joshua is currently the eighth-ranked player out of Pennsylvania for the 2017 class. With excellent size, standing at 6'6 and weighting 288 pounds, there's a reason for the recent blowup in his recruiting process. Currently, Lugg does not hold an offer from the Buckeyes. However, he does hold offers from Pitt, Wisconsin, Boston College, Duke, Michigan State, Maryland, Tennessee, and Penn State among others. As of now, 247sports.com gives a 100% Crystal Ball prediction of Joshua ending up at the home state University of Pittsburgh. With Joshua's OSU visit this coming weekend, it will be interesting to see if the Buckeyes pull the trigger in offering this 2017 prospect, causing a shake up in his recruiting process.

SoundMind SoundBody camp kicks off

Last night, SoundMind SoundBody regional football camp began. Taking place at Dakota High School in Macomb, Michigan, over one thousand campers are currently participating at this camp. Ohio State's Urban Meyer, Michigan State's Mark Dantonio, Michigan's Jim Harbaugh, Minnesota's Jerry Kill, and Penn State's Jim Franklin (to name a few) are all coaches in attendance. One participant of interest to OSU is current 2016 OL commit Michael Jordan, out of Plymouth High School in Canton, Michigan. Also of note, OSU DB target Trayvon Mullen made the trip up from Florida to be at this combine. Another visitor includes Ohio State's receivers coach, Zach Smith who will have the opportunity to watch targets Donnie Corely of Detroit, Michigan and Binjimen Victor of Ft. Lauderdale, Florida compete. With Corely being a major target for OSU at receiver and his college decision likely coming soon, it is crucial for Coach Smith to spend time with the country's 18th-ranked receiver prospect. With so many prolific athletes in attendance for this camp, look for Urban Meyer and staff to keep an eye on the top talent performing over the next two days. Could any new offers be dished out? We will keep you posted on all of the happenings during Detroit's SoundMind SoundBody football camp.
