Ohio State signee Mirko Jurkovich Jr. won't enroll, per report

The well regarded lineman won't join the Buckeyes when new freshmen arrive on Sunday.

According to a report by the venerable Tim May of the Columbus Dispatch, three-star offensive lineman Mirko Jurkovic Jr. will not be joining the new enrollees set to move in to Ohio State's Central Ohio campus this coming Sunday.

There'd been smoke that one prospect in the class would be an academic non-qualifier, and based on May's sources, that would seem to now be Jurkovich. According to May, his sources "weren't sure of the exact nature" behind why he wouldn't be able to enroll with the rest of his classmates but did state it was academic related.

It's unknown whether this situation will evolve into a grayshirt scenario where Jurkovich gets his academics in order and enrolls later on down the line, or whether this represents a parting of ways between the two parties. It seems more likely than not this represents the second case of attrition from Ohio State's 2015 class following defensive back Jamel Dean, who was never cleared medically after attempting to enroll early and later transferred to Auburn.
