247Sports

This past week we had the privilege in talking with 2017 defensive tackle prospect Fred Hansard. Fred is from Princeton, NJ and plays his ball at Hun School. Currently, Hansard is ranked the twelfth best prospect at his defensive tackle position and is the third best player in the state of New Jersey in the 2017 class according to 247Sports.

As of now, Hansard hold offers from Ohio State, Arizona State, Boston College, Miami, Kentucky, Rutgers, and Virginia Tech among others. With great size, standing at 6-foot-4 and 310 pounds, it is easy to see why so many have extended offers to this young talent.

Check out what Fred had to say to Land-Grant Holy Land below.

LGHL: Who is actively recruiting you the hardest? In other words, who sends you the most phone calls, texts, etc?

Fred: It's between Rutgers and Miami (FL)

LGHL: What is your timetable for a potential commitment date?

Fred: I would definitely like to commit some time next year.

LGHL: Who is your primary recruiter from Ohio State and how often does Ohio State contact you?

Fred: Coach Warriner. I have only talked to him twice, but I'm definitely going to give him a call so I can take a visit.

LGHL: What is the best part of your game in your opinion?

Fred: My speed and my hands.

LGHL: What is the part of your game you think you'd like to work on the most?

Fred: My first step

LGHL: What is the best or your favorite aspect of the recruiting process and also, what is our least favorite?

Fred: Just getting these offers, and all of the calls I have been getting.

Thanks so much to Fred for his time and willingness to talk! To see Fred's highlights courtesy of Hudl, check out the video below:
