2015 college football betting lines: Ohio State big favorites over Virginia Tech, Penn State and more

More and more lines are coming in for major college football games, and there's a general trend among just about everybody. The sharps like Ohio State this season, and quite a bit. ESPN has a series of lines from the Golden Nugget for big games this season, including multiple Ohio State games, and the Buckeyes are double digit favorites in all of them.

The Golden Nugget lines include:

Ohio State (-16) at Virginia Tech

Penn State at Ohio State (-19)

Michigan State at Ohio State (-14)

Ohio State (-16) at Michigan

The -16 is a little closer of a line for Virginia Tech than others that have recently been posted (-18, or even higher), but it's still a pretty big margin for a season opening road game against a tough team in an even tougher environment. However, Virginia Tech is only 27-33-1 ATS at home over the last 10 years, so maybe that isn't a great sign for Virginia Tech's chances at springing a second upset.

These lines will obviously change quite a bit over the season, as injuries change depth charts and teams over or underperform relative to their preseason expectations, but if you wanted more proof that some of the smartest people in the sport are confident in the Buckeyes, here you go.
