First it was Urban Meyer. Then Ezekiel Elliott. Now, Cardale Jones has gotten chance to take the mound for the ceremonial first pitch during the Cleveland Indians game Friday. After a back and forth with the team last month on Twitter, Jones, a Cleveland native, was given the opportunity to put his pitching skills to the test for his home team.

Just like everything else he does, he went in with a mission to throw a great first pitch, one he joked that could be used as his try-out for the team. Jones headed North with former Ohio State quarterback Troy Smith in tow to participate in the pre-game activities, received his custom Indians jersey and made his way to the mound.
