Defensive end coach Larry Johnson already has the benefit of coaching Joey Bosa, Michael Bennett, and Adolphus Washington since being hired to the Buckeyes staff and now he has another possible star to work with. Ohio State has received a verbal commitment from '16 DE Nick Bosa of St. Thomas Aquinas (FL) moments ago according to Ryan Bartow. The 6'4, 265-pounder joins the Ohio State 2016 recruiting class which is now graded as the No. 1 best class in the country.
Nick confirmed his commitment here.
The newest Ohio State pledge is the younger brother of Ohio State standout defensive end Joey Bosa. Interestingly enough, Nick Bosa is currently rated higher than his older brother Joey was coming out of high school.
The younger Bosa chose the Buckeyes over offers from some of the best programs in the country including Alabama, Clemson, Michigan State, Nebraska, Notre Dame and more. The Buckeyes also beat out in-state Florida, Florida State (the only other major competitors) and Miami (FL) for his services.
The Florida native is a five-star prospect in the 2016 class. Bosa comes in at eight overall recruit in the country, second in the always loaded sunshine state and is the second best weak-side defensive end in the country.
