With Friday Night Lights in the rearview mirror and fall camp slowly approaching, we might start getting into a slow time of recruiting. The Ohio State staff hosted a slew of prospects the last few weeks and just about have their 2016 class filled up, with the 2017 class coming along quite nicely as well. With that said, still there will always be recruiting news that surfaces every day. On Tuesday the Buckeyes kept on extending their footprint, sending out a new offer.

2017 defensive tackle Donovan Jeter picked up an offer from Ohio State yesterday, his 10th overall. The Pennsylvania prospect is just finding his way on the recruiting trail and already holds a handful of offers from Big Ten teams. Though it's still way early in his process, Penn State is thought to be his leader right now, but this offer from the Buckeyes could shake things up. Jeter was in Columbus last week for Friday Night Lights so the interest is definitely there on both sides. He obviously showed well enough to catch Ohio State's attention and this one will be one to watch going forward. Jeter is a prototypical gap-filler at the defensive tackle spot as he checks in at 6'4, 260 pounds. He'll definitely be adding more weight under a college weight room program. What he lacks with technique, he's able to make up for with brute strength. Currently, he's ranked as the 19th defensive tackle in his class and one of the top overall prospects in the state of Philadelphia. Ohio State has done well converting high school defensive ends to the tackle position, and that trend will continue. However, it's always nice to keep true DTs on the roster and this could be the one for 2017.

2016 safety likes the Buckeyes

2016 safety Nigel Warrior released his top ten and it's a list that includes Ohio State. Urban Meyer has done a great job in the state of Georgia throughout his tenure as of late; Warrior could be the next guy he reels in from the Peach State. Warrior is the number four ranked player at his position and holds 29 total offers. He's a player that could make an instant impact at whatever school he commits to. If Warrior were to have legitimate interest in Ohio State, it would throw another twist in defensive back recruiting for this cycle with Damar Hamlin and Andrew Pryts also having extreme interest in OSU. Warrior is a player that a program couldn't say no to, and the Buckeyes would find room if need be.
