A week and change after attending the annual Ohio State Friday Night Lights camp and having his scholarship pulled by Mark Dantonio and the Michigan State Spartans coaching staff, former MSU pledge Gavin Cupp is now a Buckeye.
Accepting his offer from the Buckeyes shortly after receiving his chance to suit up in the Scarlet and Gray, the 6'5, 280-pound, Leipsic, OH native is the 19th class of 2016 prospect to give Urban Meyer, and the national champions a verbal pledge.
A three-star prospect with tons of upside, Cupp is currently considered the 48th offensive tackle, and 556th overall prospect in the senior class, according to the 247Sports Composite Rankings.
Before his commitment to the Spartans back in May, Cupp held a long list of scholarship offers. Bowling Green, Buffalo, Cincinnati, Illinois, Minnesota, Missouri, Pittsburgh, Virginia, and West Virgina were a few of the schools to give Gavin a chance to continue his playing days at their school.
