This past Sunday, Carli Lloyd and the U.S. Women's National Team played an exhibition match against Haiti, in Birmingham, AL. Unsurprisingly, the U.S. coasted to a win, by a final of 8-0, in which Carli Lloyd achieved her second hat trick in as many games in front of a packed stadium.
While throwing hats onto a playing surface to celebrate a hat trick is predominantly a hockey tradition, it's not uncommon to see in soccer. And as it so happens, there were some Buckeyes who trekked all the way down from Cincinnati for the match, who decided to sign the hat with a message for Lloyd, and toss it her way!
You can't help but wonder how the surely numerous Alabama football fans in attendance felt about that one!
And in case you needed confirmation of the hat's emblem, the family who threw it has you covered:
@TheOnlyCox here is proof it was my Ohio state hat. Please reply, I would cherish it forever. pic.twitter.com/JlHN5XLjoL

Sorry Crimson Tide fans, but you know by now that Ohio State pretty much owns you.
