Cardale Jones to remain Ohio State's starting quarterback

While it was up in the air during the early part of the week, Cardale Jones remains the starter for the Buckeyes.

After being benched during the Buckeyes narrow 20-13 victory over Northern Illinois this past Saturday, Cardale Jones will remain the starter for the Buckeyes this week as they face Western Michigan in Columbus. It will be Jones second career start in the 'Shoe.

Urban Meyer was noncommittal on a quarterback at the beginning of the week during his press conference, but has decided to stick with the young gunslinger Jones. Jones started the first three games of the season for the Buckeyes, where they were victorious over Virginia Tech, Hawaii, and of course most recently, Northern Illinois.

The explosive plays have not been there as frequently for Jones like they have been in the past. In his three starts, Cardale Jones has completed 55.6 percent of his passes for 333 yards, with two touchdowns and three picks. He has shared time with J.T. Barrett in all three of the Buckeyes games. Jones also has 115 yards on the ground, and a touchdown on the season.
