After an eventful weekend, with Michigan State, Northwestern, Iowa, Maryland, Illinois, Indiana, and Rutgers (yes, even Rutgers) winning their season openers, we finally come to Ohio State. As I'm sure you recall, the Buckeyes are coming off of just about as good as a season as you could hope for; we won the Big Ten, went into the inaugural College Football Playoff as the No. 4 underdog and won it all, and we beat Michigan. Not too shabby. The only blemish on our otherwise perfect season was that week 2 loss to Virginia Tech. Tonight, we look for revenge.
When and where is the game today?
The game starts tonight at 8 p.m. ET in Blacksburg, VA, so not only are we starting the season off with a rematch against the only team to beat us last year, it's a night game on the road. No pressure or anything.
How can I watch the game if I'm not there?
The game will be televised on ESPN tonight. If you're away from your TV, it will also be streaming on WatchESPN, though access to the game will require you to log in via your cable provider. It's safe to say that this is a pretty high-profile game, which is why ESPN's busting out the big guns for this one. Our TV crew tonight will be Chris Fowler, Kirk Herbstreit, and Heather Cox. Paul Keels and the good folks of the Ohio State Buckeyes Radio Broadcast Team will also be available on 97.1 FM The Fan or your local Ohio State radio network affiliate. As far as radio announcers go, you could do worse.
What other games will be on today?
None. This is it. There's no excuse not to watch. The Primetime TV Fall lineups don't even start for another week or two, so if your TV isn't tuned to ESPN tonight, you'd better have a pretty solid excuse.
