Eight months after leading Ohio State to a historically improbable series of wins against Wisconsin, Alabama, and Oregon in his first three ever career starts, Cardale Jones will reprise his role as Ohio State's starting quarterback.
Though Urban Meyer successfully kept the news between he and the eventual runner up for the job until kickoff, the jobs is now 12 Gauge's to lose.
Jones completed 56 of 92 passes for 860 yards and 7 TDs to just 2 INTs a year ago in the aforementioned three stars and limited mop-up duties. He added 296 yards and a TD on the ground.
Despite J.T. Barrett being named a captain, his leadership, at least for now, will have to come in specifically designed set formations, as a change of pace guy, and on the sideline and in the locker room. Cardale's big personality (and even bigger arm) could be the key to Ohio State's repeat hopes.
