Ohio State S Tyvis Powell declares for the 2016 NFL Draft

The Bucks' last line of defense is headed for the NFL.

Ohio State safety Tyvis Powell will forego his senior season with the Buckeyes and enter the 2016 NFL Draft.

Powell was tied for the team lead in interceptions this season with two, and third among all Buckeyes in tackles with 66, fourth in solo tackles with 37. That's pretty good considering the talent on that side of the ball for the Buckeyes. Between himself and Vonn Bell, there wasn't a whole lot of going deep on the Bucks.

He has good size at 6'3, 210 pounds and is great at using his length to his advantage. Powell would be joining other Ohio State defense back alumni in the NFL such as Donte Whitner, Malcolm Jenkins, Kurt Coleman, and Bradley Roby just to name some.

If their success is any indication, Tyvis Powell should make for a pretty good pro, and we will all be looking forward to his future successes wherever he may land.
