Ohio State falls to No. 6 in AP and No. 8 in Coaches Poll after loss to Penn State

The Bucks take a tumble in the latest polls.

NCAA Football: Ohio State at Penn State Matthew O'Haren-USA TODAY Sports

The Ohio State Buckeyes suffered their first loss of the 2016 season Saturday night. Special teams woes and bad offensive line play led to a 24-21 loss, resulting in the Buckeyes falling to No. 6 in the latest AP Poll and No. 8 in the latest Coaches Poll.

Luckily for the Buckeyes, their hopes at the College Football Playoff aren’t totally shot. They’ll have to win out from here now though, without a doubt. J.T. Barrett’s Heisman candidacy seems lost, and the Buckeyes have big questions on offense that need to be answered.

Ohio State has two home games upcoming on the schedule against Northwestern and Nebraska. Hopefully those will be just what they need to get back on track, and chasing a national championship.

The entire AP and Coaches Polls will be posted here shortly.
