Everything about the Ohio State-Michigan game is special; the history, the pageantry, and yes, the uniforms. Earlier this week, social media posts started leaking out that suggested that LeBron James had gifted the Buckeyes pairs of the LeBron Soldier 10 SFGs for The Game.
Four hours before the No. 2 and No. 3 teams in the country meet on the field, King James tweeted a picture that seemed to confirm the shoewear switch as the cleats hung with the Buckeyes’ home red jerseys with the black shoulder numbers.
Built for dominance. @ohiostatefb is battle ready in the LeBron Soldier 10 Cleat.

There was also early speculation that the Buckeyes might be switching up their headgear as well, and a look at J.T. Barrett’s locker on ESPN’s “College GameDay” reinforced the suspicion, as the shot included an Ohio State black matte helmet.
It’s the black helmet, and not the typical gray one, that’s sitting around the GameDay set as well.

I mean, fancy black helmets would match these new black shoes Ohio State seems to be wearing.
Keeping with giving spirit, Nike and LeBron also gave a pair of shoes to every baby born at the Ohio State Wexner Medical Center on Friday and Saturday.
The College GameDay set later confirmed Ohio State would be wearing alternate uniforms.
They should look pretty sharp breaking out the same jerseys they wore against Oregon in 2014 along with some slick helmets.
