A hundred thousand giddy Buckeyes joined Ohio State players to sing Carmen Ohio after beating Michigan

It’s ok to cry.

After No. 2 Ohio State’s thrilling 30-27 come-from-behind, double-overtime victory over No. 3 Michigan, thousands of fans from the Horseshoe’s record crown stormed the field to celebrate with the Buckeyes. Keeping with the team’s longstanding tradition, they congregated at the South Stands to sing OSU’s alma mater, “Carmen Ohio,” with The Best Damn Band in the Land; the only thing different about today, is that they were surrounded by legions of fans on the field.

Saturday’s attendance at the ‘Shoe was reported as 110,045, the largest in the stadium’s 96-year history. With renovations coming to lower the capacity over the next year, today’s crowd could end up being the largest in Ohio Stadium history, and given the outcome of the game, that feels appropriate.
