Ann Arbor, Michigan LB Antjuan Simmons commits to Ohio State

BOOOOOOOOOOM!

Student Sports

Ohio State, Urban Meyer, Mark Pantoni, and the Buckeyes' recruiting think tank may have just struck a shot across the bow towards their hated rivals up north.

On Tuesday morning, 3-star Ann Arbor, MI -- yes, you read that right -- linebacker Antjuan Simmons announced on the social media platform Twitter that he was all Buckeye. Though he's a high-ish three-star, his offer list suggests his tape might get a closer re-look, especially after his OSU commitment.

As one would expect, Simmons had interest from Jim Harbaugh and the Michigan Wolverines, but the 247Sports Crystal Ball was pegging him as an early projected Notre Dame pledge. At the time of Simmons' announcement, Harbaugh and Michigan were holding some of their spring practices out of state down in Florida.

Simmons is currently graded as the 11th best player in the state of Michigan, the 27th best linebacker overall in the 2017 class, and the 376th best player in the class as well. As mentioned before, especially if he has a good camp circuit this coming summer, expect those rankings to increase.
