Ohio State's spring game homefield advantage is better than your favorite team's regular season one.

The Ohio State University's a perennial College Football Playoff contender. Now it looks like they're well positioned to be amongst the best spring game crowds each year as well.

This afternoon, an announced crowd of over 100,189 Buckeye fans made the trek to Ohio Stadium on a beautiful spring afternoon for the annual spring football game, setting a new national record. This breaks last year's record of 99,391. A year ago, they broke their own previous national record of 95,722 from 2009. Alabama is one of the only other schools to regularly be competitive in the spring game attendance race with OSU. Michigan's spring game attendance was reportedly just 35,000 several weeks back on a frigid Friday night in Ann Arbor.

Sure it's a fake football game and we know it amounts to little more than an intrasquad scrimmage. But where else would you rather be than getting a trailer of the action to come this fall in Ohio Stadium?
