5-star Ohio State commit to play in Army All-American Game

One of the nations best prospects, Shaun Wade, will be showcasing his skills in a familiar event.

Wade named Army All-American

Class of 2017 CB Shaun Wade (Jacksonville, Fla. / Trinity Christian Academy), the Buckeyes' second highest graded pledge in the class, will be headed to the Alamodome in San Antonio, Texas to take part in the annual US Army All American Bowl. The contest will feature many of the best prospects in the entire 2017 recruiting class and of course, other current Buckeye commits.

The five-star defensive back joined Haskell Garrett, Jake Moretti and Josh Myers as the current Ohio State pledges to announce their intentions to perform in the Lone Star State one last time before heading off to college. Where that ultimately will be, for Wade specifically, is the big question mark.

The 6 foot 1 inch, 177-pounder has recently been the topic of conversation as far as how committed he may be to Head Coach Urban Meyer and the Buckeyes. Likely because of 247Sports writers Luke Stampini and Hank South casted Crystal Ball predictions that had Wade heading to Alabama to strap the pads for Nick Saban and the Crimson Tide.

Bucks take over latest ESPN300

On Wednesday, ESPN released their latest 2017 rankings and it was an Ohio State takeover. The Buckeyes lead all programs with the most prospects

Leading the charge was the aforementioned Shaun Wade, who you can find at No. 13 on the list. Wade barely missed five-star status for ESPN. Drop three spots to 16th on the list and you'll find 6 foot 6 inches, 290-pounder Josh Myers (Miamisburg, Ohio / Miamisburg). It should come as no surprise that these two are the highest ranked Buckeye commits. The only debate could be which order they would be placed in.

Inside the Top 100, you will come across safety Isaiah Pryor (Bradenton, Fla. / IMG Academy) at No. 46 and J.K. Dobbins of La Grange, Texas / La Grange) twelve spots lower at No. 58. Right outside of the Top 100 was defensive tackle Haskell Garrett. The 6 foot 2 inch, 298-pounder missed the mark by just eight spots and ultimately winded up at 108th on the list.

Cornerback Marcus Williamson (Bradenton, Fla. / IMG Academy) and offensive lineman Jake Moretti (Arvada, Colo. / Pomona) are right next to one another, as the Ohio State pledges are 121st and 124th respectively. Not far off from those two would be defensive tackle Jerron Cage (Cincinnati / Winton Woods), who came in at No. 136.

Finally, Todd Sibley -- who widely seems to be headed elsewhere sooner rather than later -- and Brendon White (Powell, Ohio / Olentangy Liberty) round out the list for the Buckeyes as Sibley is ESPN's 165th best prospect and White is pegged at 218th among all 2017 prospects.
