Dylan Moses wants to check out Columbus
The country's top-rated OLB and the No. 2 overall prospect of 2017, made it known Monday afternoon over Twitter that he wanted to take an official visit to Ohio State. Dylan Moses (Bradenton, Fla. / IMG Academy) has been a name associated with most recruiting programs for a couple years now. He has obtained 40 scholarship offers throughout his recruitment and many of those are from the best college football programs in the country.
As it stands today, LSU, Texas and Alabama are the favorites to land the five-star prospect, but their chances of securing a commitment from Moses took a hit Monday. This is because Urban Meyer and the Ohio State football program may get another chance to convince him otherwise.
The Buckeyes, who already have accumulated the No. 1 recruiting class of 2017, still interest Moses and the feeling is definitely reciprocated. The fact that Moses wants to use one of his limited number of official visits on Ohio State should speak to the seriousness of his interest.
Ohio State may not be the current favorites to land Moses, and his interest in visiting the campus very well may be just to ensure he is getting everything out of his recruitment process as possible. However, you can be assured that the schools leading the way in his recruitment are nervous of what will happen if the visit comes to fruition. Meyer is known as one of the best recruiting coaches in all of college football and the football program he has built at Ohio State is proof of that.
Two Ohio State 2017 commits receive invitations to The Opening Finals
Two of the commitments in Ohio State's 2017 class received invitations to the prestigious camp in Oregon, The Opening Finals. Four-star OT Jake Moretti (Arvada, Colo. / Pomona) along with four-star S Brendon White (Powell, Ohio / Olentangy Liberty) were the newest members of the class to receive invitations.
Moretti and White will join fellow Buckeye commits Marcus Williamson (Westerville, OH / IMG Academy), Isaiah Pryor (Lawrenceville,GA / IMG Academy), Antjuan Simmons (Ann Arbor,MI / Pioneer), JK Dobbins (La Grange,TX / La Grange), and Haskell Garrett (Las Vegas, NV / Bishop Gorman) at the camp held at the Nike headquarters.
Both Moretti and White received their invitations to the camp after shining in the regional event in Chicago last weekend.
