We don't know all of Ohio State basketball's schedule for next season, but we do already know the highlights. The Buckeyes will face UCLA in Las Vegas, and will host both Providence and UConn before Big Ten play starts. Their biggest true road trip was likely to be their Big Ten/ACC Challenge game, and now we may know their opponent.
Although a previous report on Monday night indicated Ohio State would travel face Louisville, the official release today says that Ohio State will get a rematch against Virginia, on Nov 30.
An Ohio State spokesman confirmed the report here:
Ohio State heads to Virginia Nov. 30 to take on the Cavaliers in the 2016 Big Ten/ACC Challenge...@OhioStateHoops is 3-2 all-time vs. UVA

Ohio State faced the Cavaliers in last year's Big Ten/ACC Challenge, and while they were competitive, they lost 64-58 at home. Traveling to Charlottesville will represent another stiff challenge for the Buckeyes, although it could pay off in a big way for their computer profile.
Last season, Virginia had the third best KenPom rating in the country, and finished with an RPI of 3. If UVA is anywhere near that level next season, a win would be huge for the Buckeyes.Ohio State will open the season at Navy, and will also reportedly host Marshall later in the non-conference schedule. Once we know additional games, we'll share them. With UCLA, UVA, Providence and UConn already on the slate, another big name addition to the schedule feels unlikely, but you never know.
