Oklahoma announces Ohio State game will be 7:30 p.m. ET on FOX

It's on.

Courtesy of a release from the University of Oklahoma, we now know a little more about Ohio State's preeminent 2016 non-conference football game.

The first of a home-and-home, Urban Meyer's young Buckeyes will travel to Norman to face OU in Gaylord Family Oklahoma Memorial Stadium. The teams will face off Saturday, September 17 at 7:30 p.m. on FOX.

The Sooners, who qualified for last year's College Football Playoff as the second ever four seed -- OSU faithful surely remember the first -- are widely expected to be no worse than a Top 5 team.

The Buckeyes, on the other hand, could finish the season at or near the high end of the polls, but will likely begin the season more in the 10-20 range. Heisman candidate quarterback J.T. Barrett is Ohio State's highest profile returning starter.

Other than the Michigan game, this should easily be OSU's most anticipated game of the fall. Go ahead and free up that evening. We should be in for a good one.
