Ohio State to host a Cleveland Browns scrimmage for second straight year

The Browns are heading back to Columbus for preseason work

For the second year in a row, Ohio Stadium will host the Cleveland Browns for their annual “Orange & Brown scrimmage”. Free to the public, registration opens for season ticket members Tuesday, June 21 and will open to all fans Thursday, June 23rd.

The scrimmage will kick off on Saturday, Aug. 6 and the game will run from 3:00-5:30 p.m., but will feature a full day of events. The Browns will bring ‘Dawg Pound Drive’ back to St. John Arena for pregame fun starting at noon.

Last year’s event drew nearly 50,000 fans to The ‘Shoe for an afternoon of NFL football — the biggest crowd in Browns’ recorded history for a team scrimmage or family day event.

Former quarterback Terrelle Pryor is the only Buckeye currently on roster for Cleveland, and the return to Ohio Stadium will be only his second — his first being last year’s scrimmage -- since his departure during the aftermath of the tattoo-for-bartering scandal of 2011.
