Euclid, OH native Stipe Miocic carries the Buckeye State flag about as well as anyone.
A noted Cleveland sports fan -- he was at the Cavs’ championship celebration parade, duh — and well regarded Ohio State Buckeye backer to boot, the mixed martial artist of Croatian descent helped salvage a mostly otherwise forgettable UFC 203 card Saturday in Cleveland.
Besides reaping the spoils of being the victor -- and potentially laying the groundwork for an epic bout for the ages against former champion Jon Jones — Miocic got all the added benefits of not only fighting at home but winning while doing so.
