Ohio State will host Maryland this coming Saturday, but the week after, the Buckeyes hit the road to face the Nebraska Cornhuskers. Kickoff has been set for 7:30 p.m. ET, according to Austin Ward, adding yet another night game for Urban Meyer and his team. The game will air on FS1.
Years ago, Meyer touted the benefits of having so many night games, citing the electric atmosphere and bump to recruiting they provide, but this year his remarks have changed a little. Instead, the head coach is more acutely aware of how the later games affect his team’s circadian rhythm and would rather they have a few additional hours to recover each week.
For now, the Buckeyes will face their Big Ten opponent under the lights in what will likely be another -- but not the last -- night game of the 2017 season.
