In the 2016 recruiting cycle, Kierre Hawkins was the first of three tight ends to commit to the Ohio State Buckeyes. Now, that class has two TEs remaining, as Hawkins will transfer to Youngstown State.
Ryan Donnelly of Rivals.com posted on Twitter of Hawkins’ transfer. Hawkins made the announcement of his move to the Penguins’ program with an Instagram post.

Hawkins was redshirted in the 2016 season, and entered the 2017 campaign as a second-year freshman.
Recruited out of Maple Heights, Ohio, Hawkins was the 12th best prospect in the state for the 2014 recruiting class and the 13th best tight end in the country, according to 247sports.
We wish Hawkins the best as he continues his collegiate days with Bo Pelini and the YSU program.
