The next RPO QB

Braxton Miller, JT Barrett, and Cardale Jones could all pull the ball in a run pass option and power out the yards.

Looking at 2018 candidates, Dwayne Haskins, Joe Burrow, and Tate Martell - there is a stark difference in look between these QBs and the previous three. Look at the legs.

JT played the most games of the three - and suffered both an ankle fracture (2014) and a knee injury (2017). RPO is tough business on a QB. Braxton Miller ultimately swapped position due to his torn labrum and limited shoulder recovery.

I'm glad the Buckeyes recruit well and have acquired such depth at the position. The RPO sort of demand it. All QBs have to take a sack occasionally, but running the ball makes more for more injurious impacts. Next Man Up.

I look forward to Haskins passing game, if what we have seen is any indication. JTs quick release with Haskins accuracy and a stout receiver corps may take some of the run pressure off Mike Weber and JK Dobbins.

This could be the break we were waiting for.
