Well that didn’t take too long.
One day after picking up a scholarship offer from the Ohio State coaching staff, three star cornerback Marcus Hooker will follow in the footsteps of his older brother and suit up in the Scarlet and Gray on the college level.
The younger sibling of former Buckeye and current Indianapolis Colts safety Malik Hooker, Marcus, a senior at New Castle High School (PA), announced his plans to play at Ohio State earlier today via his Twitter page.

Seeing time all over the field at New Castle, Hooker locked in offers from not just Ohio State, but programs such as Cincinnati, Pittsburgh, Rutgers, and West Virginia, after accounting for over 1,000 total yards and 16 touchdowns on offense, and snatching up 76 total tackles last season as a junior for the Hurricanes.
Considered the 52nd cornerback, and 587th overall prospect in the class of 2018, according to the latest 247Sports Composite Rankings, Hooker adds another solid piece to the Buckeyes recruiting class puzzle. The fourth defensive back in the class, joining Jaiden Woodbey, Josh Proctor, and Sevyn Banks, Marcus is already helping the class out.
The 16th senior to jump aboard Urban Meyer’s ship, his pledge pushes Ohio State’s class even further out in front of the University of Miami as the top rated class in the country.
