Ohio State football is just around the corner. While some position battles are still taking place, the captains for the 2017 Ohio State football team have been named.

The OSU football Twitter page put up the graphic of the nine captains.
Quarterback J.T. Barrett became a captain for the third time. It’s the first time anybody has been named a captain of the OSU football team on three separate occasions. In his career, Barrett is 26-4 as a starter for the Buckeyes—and has never lost to Michigan.
Three other captains also come from the offense: center Billy Price, and wide receivers Parris Campbell and Terry McLaurin.
Five members of the defense were named as captains, too. Defensive ends Tyquan Lewis, Sam Hubbard, and Jayln Holmes; linebacker Chris Worley; and defensive tackle Tracy Sprinkle all picked up the coveted role for the Buckeyes, who enter the season ranked as the No. 2 in the nation, according to the AP Poll released on Monday afternoon.
