Conference play and ranked matchups fill the college football lineup in Week 5

Here’s the full slate of college football games this weekend.

The Ohio State Buckeyes don’t kickoff until 7:30 p.m. on Saturday, but there are quite a few ranked matchups both Friday night and throughout the day Saturday to keep you busy until the Scarlet and Gray take the field.

On Friday, late-night on the West Coast, the No. 5 USC Trojans are on the road against a rising No. 16 Washing State team that currently boasts a better (read: more accurate and less turnover prone) quarterback and could be the the stumbling block that keeps the Trojans out of the College Football Playoff.

Ranked matchups on Saturday include No. 24 Mississippi State at No. 13 Auburn, and No. 2 Clemson at No. 12 Virginia Tech. Leading the Big Ten are Penn State (No. 4) and Wisconsin (No. 10) who both face conference opponents, albeit Indiana and Northwestern respectively. Although, an upset in either game wouldn’t hurt that the Buckeyes chances of getting back into the playoff conversation.
