It wasn’t always pretty, but the No. 3 Ohio State Buckeyes pulled out what proved to be a 23-point win over Indiana in Columbus last weekend. Now, the Buckeyes look to stay unbeaten as Minnesota comes to town.
Head coach P.J. Fleck is 3-2 thus far in his second season at Minnesota. After starting the season off with three non-conference wins over New Mexico State, Fresno State and Miami (OH), the Golden Gophers fell to Maryland and, most recently, Iowa, losing out on Floyd of Rosedale for the fourth-straight season.
Minnesota is led by freshman quarterback Zack Annexstad, who has thrown for eight touchdowns and five picks on the season, with three of each coming against the Hawkeyes last week. Just three receivers have more than 100 receiving yards on the season, but wideout Seth Green has five rushing touchdowns this year, and has proven to be a weapon in the red zone. It’s particularly impressive because the Gophers have just six rushing touchdowns all season.
This year’s matchup marks the 51st time that Ohio State and Minnesota have faced off, with the Buckeyes holding a lopsided 44-7 advantage over the Gophers. Ohio State has won the last nine meetings with Minnesota. The two teams have not faced off since 2015, when Ohio State defeated Tracy Claeys’ Golden Gophers 28-14 in Columbus.

Where is “GameDay” this weekend?
The crew is headed to Ann Arbor for the matchup of No. 12 Michigan and No. 15 Wisconsin. It’s the biggest Big Ten matchup since that time Ohio State and Penn State faced off two weeks ago. Wisconsin looks to have the Big Ten West on lockdown while Michigan is still trying to prove it could possibly finish better than third in the Big Ten East. It’ll be the show’s first trip to Ann Arbor since 2015, though “GameDay” covered the Michigan-Notre Dame game Week One this season.
What’s the rest of the Big Ten up to today?
It’s a full slate of Big Ten games today, with all 14 teams in action. Kicking things off alongside Ohio State at noon, Rutgers travels to Maryland on BTN, Iowa heads to Indiana on ESPN2 and Nebraska faces Northwestern in Evanston on ABC. In the afternoon slot, No. 8 Penn State gets Michigan State at home at 3:30 p.m. on BTN, while Purdue travels to Illinois on FS1. Capping the day is the primetime matchup of Michigan and Wisconsin at 7:30 p.m. on ABC.
