Are you excited for the Ohio State Buckeyes men’s basketball season? If not, would some free chicken from Raising Canes help? Buckeyes head coach Chris Holtmann just tweeted out an invitation to students to meet him at the Raising Canes on campus at the corner of 11th Avenue and High Street from 12:15 p.m. to 1 p.m. ET today; and Holtmann will be providing the chicken!

Since coming to Columbus in the summer of 2017, Holtmann has made strides to involve not only the alumni of the basketball team, but the current OSU students in his rebuilding of the program. Holtmann treated students to Raising Canes last year, then on Monday night, his team held a practice open to students, and the enthusiasm from the Nuthouse and the community at large undoubtedly played a part in ramping up the excitement around the team when it started playing well last year.

The Ohio State basketball team will tip off the 2018-19 season on Nov. 7 at 6 p.m. ET against Cincinnati in a game broadcast on ESPN2 from the Queen City. However, they will also have an exhibition game against UNC Pembroke at the Schott on Nov. 1 at 7 p.m. ET.

So, go get you some chicken today, and cheer on the Bucks starting next month!
