SiriusXM to launch exclusive Big Ten channel next week

Former Buckeyes A.J. Hawk and Ben Hartsock will be part of the new channel.

On Thursday, satellite radio provider SiriusXM, along with the Big Ten Network and the Big Ten Conference, announced that beginning on Monday, Oct. 22, there would be an all new, 24/7 station on the service dedicated to Big Ten sports.

According to Market Watch, the new streaming channel will “feature exclusive new shows hosted by former Big Ten athletes, journalists and conference insiders, as well as simulcasts of BTN programming. The daily schedule will include Big Ten This Morning (weekdays, 7-10 a.m. ET) and the afternoon drive show, Big Ten Today (weekdays, 3-6 p.m. ET).”

The network will also carry live play-by-play broadcasts for B1G football, men’s and women’s basketball, baseball, softball, and more.

The Big Ten Channel will feature former Ohio State and NFL players A.J. Hawk and Ben Hartsock, as well as other former Big Ten athletes Brad Hopkins, Anthony Herron, Jon Crispin, and more.

In addition to regularly scheduled programming, the channel will also provide weekly coaches shows, press conferences, Big Ten highlights, and even classic game re-broadcasts.
