Ohio State is hoping to put a close on its 2019 wide receiver recruiting haul later this week. Four-star athlete Wandale Robinson (Frankfort, KY / Western Hills) has scheduled his commitment for Thursday.
The blue-chip prospect has become a big name of topic in Ohio State recruiting in the last couple months and is set to choose between Alabama, Kentucky, Nebraska, Purdue and Ohio State. Robinson quickly became Ohio State’s top recruit at the WR position since the commitment of four-star WR Jameson Williams, who pledged his services to the Buckeyes Sept. 28.
Following Williams’ commitment, it was known the Buckeyes wanted a third wideout in this year’s class; it was just unknown who it would be. Ohio State quickly focused on Robinson, despite Nebraska being a heavy favorite. However, Buckeye WR coach Brian Hartline was persistent in recruiting Robinson, and got him to take an official visit to Ohio State Oct. 6.
Last Friday, Hartline and Urban Meyer visited Robinson, and the following day Robinson announced he had come to a decision and that he would be committing Thursday at 2:30 p.m. ET in his high school gym.
I will be committing at 2:30 on Thursday in the Western Hills High School gymnasium. All family and friends are welcome.

The move certainly appears to be good news for Ohio State. Robinson recently spoke to Woody Wommack of Rivals.com about the schools he is considering and when asked about his thoughts on OSU he had the following to say:
“The relationship has been good with them and I had a really good visit up there. There aren’t many places like that around the country to go in and play a game and that’s a real good environment as a player.”
And while Robinson has five schools he is deciding between, it appears to be a two horse race between Ohio State and Nebraska. Scott Frost and the Cornhuskers have been recruiting Robinson the longest and it showed when he spoke to Wommack about the school.
“Nebraska has been showing me the same kind of attention for months now, both before I went for the official visit and after. They have always been the school that recruited me the hardest and been up front about how they really need me.”
Make sure to follow Land-Grant Holy Land Thursday to see what Robinson decides on.
Future Ohio State QB releases highlight tape
Ohio State 2020 quarterback commit Jack Miller (Scottsdale, AZ / Chaparral) recently announced that his junior season of football had come to an end due to a knee injury. However, on Monday, Miller released his season highlight tape and current Ohio State star QB Dwayne Haskins showed him some love.

Make sure to check out the tape yourself as Ohio State looks to be getting a good one.
