In the latest “Why is this News?” edition of the “Hangout in the Holy Land” podcast, co-hosts Matt Tamanini and Alexis Chassen catch up on all of the biggest Buckeye stories from the past week. It was fairly quiet following the week off for the Buckeyes, but in addition to how they deal with the defeat in West Lafayette, much of the attention has been focused on the health and the future of OSU head coach Urban Meyer.
Matt and Alexis discuss Meyer’s interview this week surrounding his healthy, and how OSU can and should handle that situation moving forward. They also talk about the potential for Buckeye assistants taking over in Maryland, and how those two stories could work together to make some changes to the succession plan at OSU.
They also talk about the first College Football Playoff rankings and what they mean for OSU moving forward. Alexis also runs down the recent news for former Buckeyes in the NFL, and Matt briefly recaps the men’s basketball team’s exhibition win over UNC Pembroke.
The No. 10 Ohio State Buckeyes will host the Nebraska Cornhuskers at Ohio Stadium on Saturday, Nov. 3 at 12 noon ET in a game broadcast on FOX.
