Just days away from one of the biggest contests of the season, college football fans from across the country are currently on the edge of their seats waiting for this year’s battle between the Buckeyes of Ohio State and their arch-rival Michigan Wolverines to kickoff.
Fans aren’t the only ones looking forward to Saturday afternoon, as a number of highly sought after high school football recruits are paying close attention as well.
Want to know what the recruits think? We have you covered. Land-Grant Holy Land caught up with the following future and potential Buckeyes and Wolverines for their opinion on this years big matchup:
2020 Ohio State commit Paris Johnson Jr.
“I am excited to see The rivalry game for the first time. It’s even better that both programs are top ranked teams in the country. This game is the most important game to Ohio State.”
Prediction: 28-13, Ohio State
2019 Michigan commit Giles Jackson
“I’m excited to see Michigan go against another top opponent and with it being a huge game for us it should be exciting to watch. I think to win our offense has to go all out and not let up and the defense to keep doing what they are doing.”
Prediction: “I say the score will be 38-17, Michigan.”
2020 4-star OT Turner Corcoran
“I would I like to see how well that Ohio State offense matches up against the UM defense. They’ve got one of the best defenses in college football so that’ll be very fun to watch.”
Prediction: “I have to say 34-33 OSU in OT.”
2020 4-star DE Bryce Mostella
“This year it’s definitely going to be eventful. Both have dominance they establish most games. I personally love that both defensive lines are excellent.”
Prediction: “Because of no Nick Bosa and how OSU played against Purdue and Maryland I’d have to lean towards Michigan. 17-14 U of M.”
2020 4-star WR Rashawn Williams
“I’m excited to see how both teams defense will hold up each others explosive offense.”
Prediction: 31-28, Ohio State.
2020 3-star WR Devell Washington
“I’m looking forward to seeing what plays they both call.”
Prediction: 35-14, Ohio State
2020 3-star WR Ian Stewart
“I’m excited to see how Ohio State’s offense does against Michigan’s D. Michigan’s defense is great so Ohio State has to be able to run the ball.”
Prediction: “I think it’s going to be super close, but I think Michigan will win like 17-14.”
2020 3-star RB Sam Adams II
“I can’t wait to see this game. Two great teams and two great programs. I’m excited to see how the coaches have the players prepared and how they respond to what happens in the game.”
Prediction: “I don’t have a score prediction.”
2020 3-star WR Maliq Carr
“I’m looking to see who knows how to win.”
Prediction: “I don’t have a score prediction.”
2020 S Brian Branch
“I want to see Ohio State’s defense get back to the way it used to be.”
Prediction: “I think my prediction is that Ohio State beats Michigan, 24-17.”
2019 P Michael O’Shaughnessy
“I am most excited to see how the Buckeyes can respond after a close game with Maryland. Obviously some things will have to be addressed and changed if they want to beat a top five football program. Michigan is hungry for a win against OSU since they haven’t won in over six years so it will be a great game to watch. I expect a tight game with many big plays.”
Prediction: “My score prediction is 24-17 and Ohio State getting the W.”
2021 WR Jayden Thomas
“I am really looking forward to big plays on Saturday, both teams offenses, and a high scoring game. With rivalry games you never know what will happen and that is what I look forward to the most. This will be my first time in Columbus, and I am looking forward to the game day atmosphere.”
Prediction: 30-28, Ohio State
