Chris Holtmann has his No. 23 Ohio State men’s basketball team off to an unexpectedly perfect 5-0 start following two of the biggest road wins in the first few weeks of the 2018-19 season; knocking off Cincinnati and Creighton.
But, as exciting as that is, it’s about to get ratcheted up a notch, because on Friday, the OSU basketball team is heading back to the most intense venue on campus, St. John Arena. The Buckeyes will host Cleveland State at 8 p.m. ET in a game that will air on Fox Sports 1.
In preparation for the contest, the Buckeyes released a hype video that not only celebrated their return to the home of the program’s only national championship, but of the throwback jerseys that they will be wearing when they travel down Lane Avenue to St. John the day after Thanksgiving.
The Return.

As you can see in the article above, we are fully on board with playing more games at St. John Arena. Clearly it doesn’t have the comforts and amenities of The Schottenstein Center, but there is something special — crazy, but special — about Buckeye basketball in that venerable old barn.
The team also released images of the jerseys that they’ll be rocking on Friday as well.
