Since 2013, Ohio State has been in the national title race all the way through the regular season every year. Even when they didn’t make the playoff/BCS title game (2013, 2015, 2017), it took either a loss in the Big Ten Championship or narrowly not being picked for the final four to finally vanquish their championship dreams. With a loss already on their resume this season, it’s going to take a lot to keep that streak afloat.
On this week’s Hangout In the Holy Land preview episode, Patrick Mayhorn and I discuss why Saturday’s game against Michigan State is not only make-or-break for Ohio State’s playoff hopes this season, but also one of the most important regular season games in Urban Meyer’s tenure in Columbus.
