Ohio State has the greatest response to Michigan’s Chase Winovich’s ‘Mirage’ statement

The Wolverine defensive end said losing to the Buckeyes 62-39 was a mirage. This went about as well as expected.

With recruiting now dominating the college football landscape, schools are going all-out in order to gain commitments heading into the early signing period later this month

Over the weekend, Michigan defensive end Chase Winovich said the loss to Ohio State, which was by a score of 62-39, was a “mirage.” He also stated that the Wolverines were building a powerhouse.

Hmmm...”powerhouse”.

On Tuesday, the creative minds on the OSU football Twitter account struck gold. Using a “Saturday Night Live” skit taking place in the desert, actors Kenan Thompson and Beck Bennett say that they see a mirage. In the SNL version of the skit, Thompson sees Gal Gadot in the mirage; while Beckett sees workers from the Jamba Juice near his old work.

This Ohio State version instead shows the “62-39” score floating on the sand, followed by a television overlay of Urban Meyer lifting Big Ten Championship Game trophies.

Without a doubt, this is the tweet of the year for college football.
